Symphonic Tribute to Django Reinhardt
(For Symphony Orchestra and Gypsy Jazz Quartet)

This concert is a tribute to Django Reinhardt, the Belgian guitarist who created Gypsy Jazz, a fusion between swing and traditional gypsy music, whose work still has a notable influence on jazz musicians today. The concert aims to keep the spirit of Django Reinhardt and Gypsy Jazz in general alive, and to expand it into today's musical universe.
Directly influenced by the classic sound of the Hot Club of France, the quartet led by Federico Nathan proposes a journey through different musical languages.
Diaspora
Diaspora is adapted for Symphonic Orchestra by Federico himself.
Uniting different musical genres and visions such as Jazz, Latinamerican music and classical and popular music, “Diaspora” pays homage to different cultures in the world and to the victims of forced displacements including genocides that have been perpetuated in these various lands.
